Kim Kirby Markle, WA '91, and her husband Jeff are expecting their first baby. She is due the first part of September.
Jennifer Cocharo, Executive '94, Chaplain '95, is engaged to be married to Malcolm Kass in August, 2003. The happy couple met while working together at 3M in Missouri, where they currently reside. Jennifer has also been accepted to several top-notch University MBA programs, and is in the process of choosing which offer to accept. She is also a new Aunt! Her sister, Jaime Cocharo Stephens, Massachusetts '96 and currently Mother Advisor of Arlington Assembly #96, had a baby boy in October 2002! Sarah Weaver Michael, California '00, Connecticut/Brazil '01, was married to Timothy Michael on 9/12/2002. Timothy is currently on the USS Tarawa headed for the Persian Gulf and will be gone 6-8 months. I know Sarah would appreciate hearing from you at this time. Ruie Slinger-Carroll, Mississippi '52, is proud to announce her daughter Misty is Mother Advisor at OSO #278 in Coprus Christi, and her grand Daughter ReAnna Gray will be installed as Worthy Advisor at OSO January 18, 2003 at 2pm. All invited. She adds, "This is very special because my mother was Mother Advisor at Alice in 1950, I was Mother Advisor at Ridglea in 1976 and now my daughter in 2002! I think that says a lot of the longivity of Rainbow." Ruie is also currently serving as Texas Grand Assembly Chair of Box Tops For Education. She wants all Past Grands that are in the Corpus Christi area to know they are welcome at the Oso meetings at 10am on First and Third Saturdays.

Dee Anna Arnold, Confidential Observer '00, was happy to announce that she was baptized into South Church of Christ in Corpus Christi back in July of this year. She has made a habit of attending church every Sunday and has even gotten into a bible study class attended by other college students. She has fully accepted God into her life.

Dakota '96, writes "I am very excited to let you...know that my husband, Tim, and I are expecting our first little bundle of joy around May 2...I am still working on finishing school, and hopefully will graduate in December. I am also a Past Matron of Port Neches OES, and am currently serving in the office of Adah. Our Eastern Star Chapter is the proud sponsor of Port Neches Assembly #159, IORG, which is still growing and doing just about everything from fund-raisers to planning their trip to Mid-Year." Tricia Lautner Lewis, Fidelity/Kansas '97, moved to Austin, Texas, in September. She writes that her husband "was offered an amazing job by Austin's #1 TV station...it was an opportunity that we couldn't pass up. I am now working for the Austin Area Teachers FCU doing the accounting work in their HR department. We were sad to leave our friends and family in Wichita Falls, but it is quite exciting to move to a bigger city like Austin!"

Sarah Haws, Nature/California '98, Treasurer '99, Charity '00, WAA '01, was accepted into Tarleton State University in Stephenville and plans to move there in mid-January. She hopes to stay with the Home Depot company and work nearby in Granbury as she attends classes. She is excited about the coming months as everything unfolds and she follows through with achieving her dreams of being a nurse!!

Beverly Patton Maynard, WA Lousiana, is on the Board of Fort Worth #15, and spends many weekends traveling with her granddaughter, Addie, Grand Rep to N. & S. Carolina. They attended Supreme in Orlando, including a few days at Disney World. She is a dual OES member in Orleans Chapter #153 in New Orleans and Hurst Chapter #1099 here in TX.
Kate Rohloff, Religion '89, Germany '92, is working in the theater in Stage Management. Currently in a summer stock production of "Music Man" in Massachusetts, she will be will be a Stage Management Intern (and therefore working on shows as the Assistant Stage Manager) at the Olney Theatre Center for the Arts in Olney, Maryland, starting in September.
The Martin family has had a busy month, with everybody moving and getting situated. Susan Hite Martin, Ohio - 79, and husband Randy made the big leap from Houston to Austin to be near daughter Ann Martin Belcher, Patriotism/Florida - 99, Music - 01, and family. Susan has been undergoing therapy for a herniated disc, and Randy has also been ill, so let's keep them in our prayers!!

CONGRATULATIONS to Kim Slagle Yarbrough, on the birth of her first baby! Reagan Elaine Yarbrough was born on July 20, 2002. 7lbs, 10 oz. and 19 inches long. Mom and baby are at home and doing well. Carla Hill Stringer, Music '67, lives in Midland, where she has been an elementary school secretary for 19 years. She is also a past matron of Midland Chapter #253 OES and a Past Mother Advisor of Midland Assembly #193 IORG. She writes, "I was unable to attend Grand Assembly this year because I had a hysterectomy after cancer was found. My doctors believe that all of the cancer was removed but I am having 6 chemo treatments for insurance. I had my first chemo on July 12 and I am doing fine - no real serious side effects." Let us all keep Carla in our thoughts and prayers! Fun fact: Carla and Mary Hill Harvey are sisters.

Erin Loggins, Chaplain '99, is attending Texas A&M, and is applying to dental school.
Ami Mahone, Hawaii '91, Membership '94, Montana '95, just built a new house in Waxahachie, and loves it. She has been teaching kindergarten in Duncanville ISD for 4 years, and is teaching and playing tennis this year. She is still looking for "Mr. Right", and manages to stay busy between work and tennis.
Cherie Crump Casteel, Personal Page '75, Chaplain '76, WAA '77, WA '78 of Oklahoma, reports that her daughter Lauren, age 12, has just been initiated into Spring Branch Assembly. Cherie also has a son, Kevin, age 17.

AuDestia (Desti) Patton, Religion/Alabama '96, is engaged to be married in December 2003. She is currently teaching 5th grade in Bastrop ISD.
