It's that time again! The 2001-2002 dues year comes to a close at Grand Assembly. If you will be at Grand Assembly, you can renew your dues with us there. A note from our President, Rhonda:
It is with great sadness that I write you all this morning. Mrs.
Pearl Mills, Past Supreme Inspector and Member of the House of Gold, passed
away yesterday morning (May 12, 2002) in Crane. Services will be
held Tuesday, May 14, 2002 at First United Methodist Church in Crane at
10:00 am. Flowers will be sent from the Past Grand Officers Association
as many of us served and worked very closely with our dear Mrs. Mills.
The Past Grand Officers Association Scholarship Fund will now be in Memory
of Mrs. Pearl Mills. Please keep Mr. Mills and the family in your thoughts
and prayers during this most trying time. They all hold a very special
place in our hearts. In Rainbow love and service, Rhonda Arrington
If you would like to share any personal memories or happy stories of Mrs. Mills, you may send them to Sharon to be included on our web site.

Happy New Year from the PGOA!
This year the PGOA is celebrating its 25th Anniversary. We will have
our annual meeting at Grand Assembly in Beaumont, tentatively Sunday, June
23, at 1 pm (see GA schedule in your TRN). We are excited about this
year! We encourage you to continue to support Rainbow activities
is your area. If you haven't been to a Rainbow meeting in a while,
make it your New Year's Resolution to visit. You will find many changes,
including a new dress code allowing pants at business meetings and colored
formals, as well as many changes on the state level (check out the elections
info in the TRN!!!). Another great resolution is to get actively
involved in the PGOA. What, you say? There are no PGOA activities
is your area? Well, we are always looking for enthusiastic people
like you to volunteer to organize PGOA events in your respective areas!
This could be anything from organizing socials, to visiting meetings as
a group, or organizing area dress sales to benefit the Mrs. Pearl Mills
Scholarship. We can provide you with contact info about PGOs in your
area to help get you started, and put your contact info here on our web
site; please let us know if you are interested in helping in this way.
If you are not a member (Can't remember if you paid your dues? See Help
page for our 2001-2002 member list!), we would love to have you join!

We received a letter from the Red
Cross, it reads in part: "Thank you for your generous donation of $200
to the American Red Cross. Your gift will be used to help rebuild
the lives of those affected by the ongoing National Tragedies. Because
of thoughtful donors like you, the Red Cross can guarantee that the resources
and services needed by those affected in their time of need. Once again,
thank you for being a friend to the American Red Cross." Just wanted
to share this with the members, since it was you all that voted to contribute!
