We are trying to locate info on any and all Past Grand Officers. We are looking for contact info for all Texas PGWAs. We are also looking for at least names of all PG Officers from every year. Contact info is good too, but names will do for starters. Piece of cake, right? :) This is a big project, but I know we can do it. If you have old GA programs, etc., or are just a whiz and remember who the other Grand Officers were your year(s), we would love to hear from you. On another note, if you know anything about Becky Buhk (possibly Jones now), who was a member of Farmers Branch Assembly #322 and had a committee appointment around '74 to '76, please contact Paula Hornbuckle.

The member roster is now up and running. The login was in your August newsletter. Special thanks to Mr. King, who hosts our site, for setting up a SECURE password for the roster. Now, nobody who does not have the login info can get in to view the roster, unlike the old system I had planned to set up, which was insecure. So a big thanks to him for providing this secure setting for us! 8-26-02
The Dallas School went really well, details will be coming up within the week in the newsletter, so keep your eye on your e-mail box (or mailbox if you don't have e-mail). Also, I need to hear from the following people, so if this you please e-mail Sharon, or if you know these people, please give them a "heads up" to e-mail Sharon at warp@tamu.edu: Jacqui Woods, Lehia Corwin, Meagan Crow.

A brief e-mail note was sent out today in order to test our e-mail list; if you did not receive it, let Sharon know. (Naturally, as soon as I sent it, I was able to connect and update this page. :) Jacqui Woods, Millicent Johnston, Sandra Sanders, and Tammy Jerpi, please let Sharon know if you do have an e-mail address. Beverly Maynard, Jacqueline Blankenship, Patricia Penn, and Valerie Cunningham, you indicated at Grand that you do not have an e-mail address; if that is incorrect, or changes, let me know. Susan Martin and Jennifer Brodsgaard, your e-mails bounced back to me. Thanks for all of your help as we get these e-mails sorted out - we send our newsletters via e-mail, but are happy to send a paper copy if you do not have an e-mail address. The PGOA held its annual business meeting and 25th anniversary party on Sunday, June 23, at Grand Assembly in Beaumont, TX. One major point of discussion involved local and statewide PGOA activities being held during the year. One local area activity proposed was PGOA members throughout the state collecting donations of formals and selling them at their local Schools of Instruction to benefit the scholarship fund. Statewide activities proposed included a PGOA meeting and dress sale at the annual Rainbow mid-year meeting in San Antonio in March. It was decided to create a new officer position with the general duty to be in charge of coordinating the state activities and helping support the local activities. Kristen Gorman was elected to this new office, and will serve as contact for any PGOA members interested in becoming active on a local level with PGOA.
Grand Assembly itself was very interesting. New election procedures were in place, where girls now run for office, with only the GWAA advancing. Our new GWA is Jennifer Kleinmann. The dress sale was very sucessful. This year, we were able to award two $500 scholarships. Congratulations to Stacy Youngblood and Holly Lewis!!
Don't forget that it is that time of year - dues are due! See the membership page to join or renew.
